Iran envoy meets Russian deputy FM
TEHRAN- Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali has met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin to discuss issues related to the situation in the South Caucasus region.
As reported by ISNA, Jalali engaged in talks with Mikhail Galuzin over bilateral cooperation and regional issues.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Galuzin and Jalali discussed issues related to the South Caucasus region. They expressed mutual interest in continuing coordination within the framework of the 3+3 Regional Consultation Program.
In conclusion, both parties described the ongoing collective efforts to enhance regional stability and security as beneficial, emphasizing the need for the involvement and collaboration of regional countries in resolving existing issues.
The 3+3 Regional Consultation Program, held in Tehran in October 2023, with the participation of the foreign ministers of Iran, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Russia, aimed to address border issues in the South Caucasus region without the interference of non-regional and Western countries.
